Finding the Common Thread
Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself doing a lot of reflecting.
Maybe it was Mercury Retrograde encouraging me to slow down and revisit things I usually rush past. Or maybe it was simply the right time. Either way, one conversation stayed with me.
About a month ago I was talking with my friend Chip Coffey when he said something that caught my attention. We were talking about my work when he suggested I simplify how I describe what I do so people could more easily understand how I help them. Not Spirit Teams. Not Energy Medicine. But how my work helps people.
It was such a simple observation, but it led me to begin looking back over the workshops I’d taught, the conversations I’d had in sessions with clients, and the projects I’d been creating. As I revisited each of them, one question kept coming to mind.
What is the common thread running through all of this?
At first, I thought I was looking for a better way to describe what I do. But the more I reflected, the more I realized I was trying to get to what had always been at the heart of my work, which was to use the tools I have learned along my personal journey to help other people navigate theirs.
I have been very fortunate to help people at various stages of their lives, whether they were navigating grief or uncertainty, rebuilding after a difficult chapter, pursuing a dream that had been sitting quietly in their heart for years, reconnecting with their spiritual journey, rediscovering gifts they felt they had lost somewhere along life’s path, or simply trying to make sense of where life was leading them next.
As I reflected on those experiences, the answer to Chip’s question began to emerge. The common thread has always been sharing the tools that have helped me, in the hope that they help other people transform their own lives.
One of the principles I often share is, “Let Curiosity Lead the Way.” It has guided so much of my own journey. I didn’t always know why I felt drawn to study Energy Medicine, Infinite Possibilities, Angels and Spirit Partners, or many of the other modalities that have become part of my work. I simply trusted my curiosity, and it led me to tools that not only changed my own life but have also helped so many of the people I’ve had the privilege of working with.
I know that by continuing to learn new tools and integrating them into my practice, my sessions and workshops will continue to evolve. But I also know one thing I always want to remain at the center of everything I do:
That every person I work with leaves feeling better about themselves, feeling more hopeful about their future, and being more aware of the possibilities that exist for their life than they did when we first began.
Looking back, I don’t think these past few weeks gave me a new direction. They gave me something even more valuable: the opportunity to pause, reflect, and rediscover the heart of my work. And in the process, I found the common thread that had been there all along.
As you’ve taken time to pause, reflect, or simply move through this season of your own life, I’d love to hear what has become clearer for you. What insight or realization will you carry forward into whatever comes next?
Sending love and light,
Robbi
