Change can arrive because of something we chose, something we hoped for, or something we never expected. Even positive changes can leave us feeling uncertain as we adjust to what is different and begin to find our footing in what comes next.
You don’t have to know exactly what this change will mean for your future. Sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is give ourselves space to acknowledge where we are, notice what this moment is asking of us, and stay open to possibilities we may not be able to see yet.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You can meet this moment one step at a time.
A New Perspective
You don’t need a map. You need a way to orient yourself.
When something significant changes, it's natural to want to know what comes next. We look for a plan, an answer, or some reassurance that everything is going to work out.
But when the landscape of your life has changed, you may not be ready to map out where you're going yet. Sometimes the first step is simply getting oriented to where you are now.
What has changed? What is still true? What matters most to you in this moment? What do you need right now?
You don't have to make decisions for the person you'll be six months from now. Begin with the person you are today. Once you find your footing, the next direction may become easier to see.
Something to Reflect On
What would help you feel more grounded in where you are right now?
• What has changed that you may still be adjusting to?
• What remains steady or important to you, even in the midst of this change?
• Instead of trying to figure out everything that comes next, what feels like the most supportive next step for you now?
You don't have to solve your future. Start by noticing what you need in the present.
